Booth Description:
The HOPE Program is a Marin County run psychiatric case management program serving adults age 60+ experiencing chronic and persistent mental illness. The Senior Peer Counseling program is a volunteer based program. Volunteer counselors help older adults sort through the transitions and realities of aging: the loss of independence, isolation, and declining physical health. Counselors provide emotional
support and Information about resources to help clients deal with change, to remain independent, and cultivate a positive approach to aging. Senior Peer Counselors are trained and supervised by mental health professionals.
