The Marin Center for Independent Living is a community based non-profit organization that provides services and advocacy for seniors and people with disabilities. At our booths, you will find information about these services. (1.) Personal Assistant Registry: Provides highly experienced caregivers to Marin residents who prefer to hire privately . Staff assist with customized referrals and hiring and managing support.(2.) Home Modifications and Accessibility: Installation of ramps, grab bars, related modifications through Dignity at Home program. (3.)Community Living Fund. A direct resource fund to keep community members in their homes and assist with care facility transitions. (4.) Alzheimer's & Dementia Support. An evidence based care management program for Medi-CAL recipients living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias in Marin County. (5.) Community Resilience services include assistive technology(walkers, wheelchairs, powered medical equipment) and emergency preparedness assistance (free backup battery program, Powered and Prepared), pre-emergency planning.
